Hotsprings Restaurant -Machakos Town!

Yesterday,I had a very nice time with my wife, and as Iwas looking for a nice food place, she quickly asked to get to Hotspring Restauarant,Situated just close to KREP Bank,Machakos Branch!for a sampling session,I learnt later that its a new place and a friend of hers is running it.

My order of choice from the menu was A stewed Fish with Ugali. Now that turned out to be the best choice i ever made on my first date out this week.My reservation though was on the green pepper, which I found to have been too much, hence making my fish be "too greeny."Also the fish appeared a little-bit darker.

Now if you are in this town soon, make a point of being there, alot is awaiting you!

Mau Forest and the politics around it

This is for Hon Ruto and his team.

Bwana mheshimiwa,I beg to completely differ with your approach over mau issue. You do not have to appear like a war lord for the government to listen to your pleas.

The mau issue, sir is no longer a tribe tag again. The issue has progressed to national one and in fact going beyond the Kenyan territory.

For those of us who would not wish to be identified by means of tribe tag,I salute you bye and join the masses calling for eviction of the settlers in Mau.

Iam fully fed up when you drum up petty support from both your colleagues and the Kalenjins in calling to defend their "rights"in the light of abusing the right to access to water for all citizens.

Let Kenyans understand that they will not paint the whole tribe with the same brush.NO FOR YOU RUTO YES FOR ENVIRONMENT.

Disappointment at Tanager Restaurant!

On wednesdays I had an opportunity to go out with my friends, the venue for the last week was at Tanager,a bar and restaurant at Rehema House at NCBD.

This is a place that it is cheaper to get a beer and wines by glass. The music is cool, prompt news hour shown to patrons and has an exclusive smoking zone.

One thing that really disappoints me every time I get into this joint,is their level of service.Waitstaffs are not approachable, they do not bother to inquire your order till you literally get yours at the counter especially when they are not busy. But one thing that really offends me is that the owner appear not to be aware of what his team is doing.

My take sir(owner),please talk with the team, motivate them and open up so that they tell you what feel and how they can meet customer needs and even exceed them. The place is nice and by polishing on this and a few things here and there, you will keep us coming

Cheers Tanager team, concentrate on attitude change.

Room for Improvement-Double M Connections

I live in Eastlands and by default therefore I commute using Double M Commuter coaches. Why I chose them was as a result of being a victim of highjacking for three times while on other transport providers.

The following are reasons for choosing them as my prefered means;a)They have as sytematic way in which commuters get to board their vehicles,b)During night trips, they do not pick commuters on the way(most of the times)c)The conductors are decent and well groomed, d)Their seats are clean with their belts still intact in most of the fleet of Matatus.

But while I take my time to applaud the management for their effort in making our travelling enjoyable,I feel obligated,as a Kenyan who demands better service, bring the folowing to your attention. That, yours is no longer the safetiest means among your competitors, this is because your drivers/conductors at the fall of night,do not bother to pass Police checks for security checks. This leaves the commuters at the mercy of their luck i.e whether or not they will be attacked.Iam writing this because I have been a victim of this overlooked routine security check.

My friends,(your clients)confides to me that they have resorted to Mat3s, that accomodate 14 commuters only thus making it ''uneconomical'' for a would be highjacker(s) to attempt to do their thing.

As my prefered choice therefore,I wish you would assure your clients that security concerns is your first priority and commercial drive is second, even though it is the reason why you are in business. It is what we ''feel'' not necessarily ''seen'' that constitute security. And if by doing this and more to your clients,Iam sure you will remain in the forefront as the choice of people and a benchmark to those who are already in the transport sector and those aspiring to join.

Double M,Double your effort for better services.

A bone to pick with contributors

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to my blogsite.

Iam sure for a number of times you have received critisisms and praises, ofcourse on unequal measure, either in the way your matatu, shop, company, staff and even yourself operate business.Unfortunately, the contributors to blogsites, who happen to be the recipients of such ''nasty''services are proud to publish not-so-good articles, laced with exergerated views that in the end spoils the reputation of an entity.

I have found this unacceptable. This is because the authors of such articles tend be so detached from the real hussles of running business, where investors put in alot of money, time and effort.with their unchecked enthusiam they are quick to type anything,in the pretext that they feel it is their right even if it means infringing to other peoples' rights.

It is in view of the above, that I will be running this site,so that I may share my observations, opinions and recommendations to those I experience from;custmers, suppliers and management. It has to a-win-win.

Your comments will be highly appreciated.Lets join together to correct our society and make it the way we want it to look like.
